OFHS Computer Group Meeting   -   Research techniques using online resources

This page is intended to accompany the talk "Research techniques using online resources" given by Elizabeth Mills to the OFHS Computer Group meeting on October 1st 2018.

Members of the society can find a more detailed description of Elizabeth's talk, in the Members-Only Area of this web site.

This page provides a set of links to all the web sites mentioned by the speaker or contributed by the audience in the subsequent discussion. The first eight entries are those which Elizabeth described as her "Top Eight" in terms of the help they have given her in breaking the proverbial "Brick Walls".

Some of the more frequently used links shown here are duplicated on our Finding Your Ancestors on the Internet page.
Links on that page are regularly updated, whereas the links here are a "snapshot" at the time of the talk. If they do fail in the future, you can always use "The Wayback Machine", part of the Internet Archive (see below) to find them as they were in 2018.
